Chapter Two Hundred Fifty Seven

It has been quite awhile since I have written in my Journal.  Since the  winter was so long and cold there were weeks of not much activity.   There just weren't adventures to write about, but there were a couple of highlights.

After more than a year, the ladies of Hitty Club finally got together.    It was so good to see old friends again.  The ladies knew there would be a lot of visiting, picture sharing etc so they didn't plan a project for the meeting. They even went out to lunch. While they were gone Becassine welcomed our guests to a variety of treats.   Perhaps it won't be so long between meetings in the future.

Another highlight was a visit from  Hitty Moonbeam's family and their new family addition.   She is an Ima!  But--------she insists on being called 'Eleanor'.  That is the name that crossed Carol's mind the first time she saw her.  The name stuck  and so, Eleanor it is.

Eleanor made the rounds to meet all of us  and was amazed at the size of our Hitty family.   We all softly giggled and gave each other that knowing look.

Finally the weather broke and spring took over! Each of us enjoyed various activities and reveled in the fact we were able to be outdoors.   I think every outdoor toy we owned was put to use.

While some of  us were playing out front, the little ones enjoyed the backyard.

Near the end of the day Becassine and Grandma Alice called everyone  in for treats but I took the time to just sit in the warm sun in the backyard.  It was wonderful to sit quietly and reflect on how wonderful life in our Hitty family can be.
